Brunei's investment in China grew rapidly in 2002, and 67 projects were invested by Brunei in 2002, with a commitment of US$ 112 million, actual appropriation of US$ 17.36 million. By the end of 2002, projects invested by Brunei in China were 82, and actual utilization was US$ 21.34 million.
In 2003, Brunei's investment in China was record-high. According to latest statistics, projects invested by Brunei in China were 39 from January to April 2003, with a commitment of US$ 78.20 million, actual appropriation of US$ 18.08 million, a record-high in history. By the end of April 2003, Brunei had invested 121 projects in China, with actual investment of US$ 34.92 million.
